8 BIGGEST PREJUDICE IN ASTROLOGY

Prejudices & natal chart

Astrology reveals our internal processes that result in external events. All events are synchronicity that reflects our unconscious, along with biological, genetic and psychological makeup. Each natal chart has beliefs that build and shape unique astrological identity.

There are examples of those who, after reading about natal positions somewhere on the Internet got depressed and told everyone that they were unlucky in love. For example, they have Venus is in Virgo and over time they have “accepted” the story that they always get dumped. With that conviction, they materialized their doubts, even though they had good relationships before.

Prejudice #1: Bad natal charts

Truth is there is no such thing as bad or difficult natal chart, planet position, better sign or planetary aspect. Maybe someone told you or you read somewhere that a certain sign or planet in house cannot give ‘good results’, so you started to notice examples in your life that this is really so.

It is important to understand that there are no categories of good and bad in astrology. They are just labels and names that we give to something that we don’t understand and that scares us.

It is not true that it is best to be Leo and worst to be Virgo, nor that all Scorpios are possessive and Cancers are mama’s boys. You are bigger than the category! Generalizing, categorizing and simplifying can help our brain grasp, but not to understand at a deeper level.

Prejudice #2: Predictions

It is impossible to predict exactly what will happen, because there are countless possibilities. We can see natal chart as a big suitcase full of things that we carry on our life’s journey. And as with all trips, there is a high probability that we take with us things we need. We also carry things that, although they are very useful, we won’t even get to use and we don’t even need them.

Natal chart is just a map of potential we are born with. And since potential is just a possibility, it is not necessary for something to happen.People are not one-dimensional. There is not only one version of Life events.

If we keep repeating the same sentence, it’s like playing the same song over and over, expecting to hear completely different genre of music. As natal chart can also be seen as a hologram, only by changing and influencing one small part of life can we change the whole.

Prejudice 3: Fate

There is no fate that has to happen, but everyone is responsible for their own decisions. Certain action leads to certain reaction or consequence. Karma from previous incarnations determines what we will experience from everything found in natal chart, how many dreams and desires we will be able to achieve. However, the most depends on us, now, in this moment.

Precisely by learning about yourself, which my website and astrology services can help you with, you can gain autonomy and tailor which version of natal chart’s story will be manifested.

No transit can bring us what we do not already have within us. Therefore, if something in our life is not happening and transits indicate that it should come true, it is possible that on a deep level we are really not ready for it. It may not even be a lesson we need to learn in this incarnation.

Natal chart exists even when we are no longer here, but only if we are here can we draw energy from it and extract its full potential.

Prejudice # 4: When will it happen to you?

The higher meaning of astrology is not to determine when, but to enable the development of greater self-awareness. Astrology is a spiritual discipline and serves for spiritual growth. The higher meaning of astrology is not to tell when something will happen, nor to determine what it will be.

By doing so, we put ourselves in the archetypal role of Victim for whom others decide. However, if we are given choice and we do not make a decision, planets will ‘decide’ for us.

However, understanding planet’s energies can really help us if our only goal is to know what will happen to us next month, because we will have definitive say in it.

Prejudice # 5: influence on natal chart

You influence your natal chart mentally, emotionally and practically. What we think, feel and do directs our natal chart towards expansion or blockage of energy. Most people have natal chart that contains planets in mutual relations where plantery characteristics tend to manifest in an original way. Some, if they were born with particularly favourable position of certain planets, could “get lost” and never learn to use it properly.

Then planets do not give what they truly could. Purpose of talking to astrologers is to help you understand yourself, psychological makeup, environment and achieve what you want. That is possible through effort and conscious action by harmonizing what you do, think and feel with natal chart energy.

Prejudice #6: Your Vibration

Each person has an unique vibration. Your vibration and the one your natal chart have can work in synchronicity resulting in life cycles and experiences. Astrology is a system that is built on teachings that date back to distant past, but planet’s  energies are changing, constantly maturing and influencing us all the time.

Although natal chart is technically the same, natal planet energy fluctuates as attitudes and vibrations change. Vibration is considered to be an emotional state that is dominant for you for a long period of time. This vibration is influenced by experiences we have had so far and people we spend the most time with. Falling out of vibration has consequences.

Everything in the Universe works together, grows and transforms so that basic meanings of planets take on different tone over time, influenced by our actions and developmental cycles we go through.

Prejudice # 7: Consciousness and natal chart

Natal chart meaning is only in the present moment, not in past or future. Change in consciousness in present moment creates change in the future. By changing energy now (thoughts, behaviour and emotions) we can “magnetize” our natal chart.

Sun has opportunity every month to “renew” itself on vibrational level, but Moon needs minimum of 28 days. Mercury needs from 2 weeks to a month and for Venus from 23 days to 2 months. It takes about 1.5 months for Mars and about a year for Jupiter. For Saturn about 2.5 years is needed.

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto stay in one sign for a long time so we work on them through personal planets. For each natal chart, it is possible to determine individually how much time it takes for planets to regenerate based on degrees, aspects and transits.

Prejudice #8: Natal Chart System

Natal chart does not exist without you and is not a closed system. It is unique for each person and cannot be summed up in sentences on paper. It has real value when it is activated by our energy and actions.

Basically, as planets’ energy constantly flows through us, every moment is ideal for everything we want to start or be, if we are fully aware of this moment. Some very productive transits in the sky will certainly happen many times in our lifetime. It is up to us whether we will be able to take advantage of it.
