Your Sign Energy
You can work on every planet based on its element and modality of the sign the planet is in. Element of fire (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) is associated with movement and change. It seeks enthusiasm and action. Earth element (Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn) is related to endurance and preservation. It seeks practical results and sobriety.
Element of air (Gemini, Libra and Aquarius) is related to understanding and explaining. This requires mental activity and negotiation with others. Element of water (Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces) is related to protection and care. It requires compassion and listening to others on an intuitive level.
Modality
Each of the four elements: air, fire, water and earth, is strong enough and equally important. No energy is better or worse than the others. Each is special and has its own purpose at a certain moment. Life is created by change of all those elements and it consists of that.
Cardinal modality (Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn) is related to initiation and creation. Fixed modality (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius) is related to maturation and survival. Mutable modality (Gemini, Virgo, Capricorn and Pisces) is all about adaptation and variation.
Great sign energy
Look at your natal chart and pay attention to whether there are any of your planets in these signs.
Sun in Leo
Moon in Cancer
Mercury in Gemini and Virgo
Venus in Taurus and Libra
Mars in Aries and Scorpio
Jupiter in Sagittarius and Pisces
Saturn in Capricorn and Aquarius
Uranus in Aquarius
Neptune in Pisces
Pluto in Scorpio
Above planets are in great position which means they feel good in that energy. That planet can help you direct the energy of your natal chart to an area that is important to you, as well as help you pass more complex transits.
Planets in Exile
Now check if you have any planet in the following positions:
Sun in Aquarius
Moon in Capricorn
Mercury in Sagittarius and Pisces
Venus in Skopje and Aries
Mars in Libra and Taurus
Jupiter in Gemini and Virgo
Saturn in Cancer
Neptune in Virgo
Pluto in Taurus
If the planet is in this position, it means that it is in exile. It is not in its natural energy and a lot of effort and will is needed to “master” this planet. You need to focus more on that planet and sign, because exaggerating that energy in the wrong way is not good for you. Your chart then functions only on principle of memory and constant repetition of the same uncomfortable situations.
Planet that is particularly threatened, which will be confirmed by disease of organ or part of body it rules. It can manifest as problems in relationship with person represented by that planet in natal chart. That area needs to be analyzed the most and should be worked on with dedication. But not in such a way that the other areas are neglected, because this does not achieve balance.
Exalted planets
Check this list now and if you find a planet in the indicated sign in your natal chart it means that you have an exalted planet. That energy is particularly beneficial, but it is important that you learn to use it.
Sun in Aries
Moon in Taurus
Mercury in Virgo
Venus in Pisces
Mars in Capricorn
Jupiter in Cancer
Saturn in Libra
Uranus in Scorpio
Neptune in Aquarius
Pluto in Scorpio
Plants in Fall
Also, check if you have any planets in the following signs. This is position of fall, because that position is very problematic and represents a very important planet for uncovering your natal chart. Its influence can be very negative. It can be very difficult for the positive qualities to manifest in that case. But it is possible to improve the use of this energy with certain rituals and remedial measures.
Sun in Libra
Moon in Scorpio
Mercury in Pisces
Venus in Virgo
Mars in Cancer
Jupiter in Capricorn
Saturn in Aries
Uranus in Taurus
Neptune in Leo
Pluto in Taurus
Some natal charts will have only one planet in some of these positions and some more. For example, maybe your natal chart contains Pluto in Scorpio and that is why it is very important, but it must be used in a positive way because its energy is explosive.
Likewise, one’s chart may contain, for example, Venus in Virgo and Mars in Cancer, whose placements are not very good. So it is crucial to work with these energies and understand them. We need to stay away from the influences that do not lead us to our highest purpose.
In some other post we will talk about natal houses and connect everything we have learned so far with the chakras and principles of astrology.
